I bought my first house!

After a year of deliberating between moving out of Evansville or getting a house in Evansville, we chose the house. The closing date was 12/6, and we will be fully moved in by 12/15. By we, I mean my girlfriend and I. We are so happy, and have many plans!

Still working on the van

Last year I bought a 1993 Mitsubishi Delica, a quirky Japanese van which has given me great joy. My goal has always been to convert it into a camper van. I told people my goal was to have it ready by this summer, but that turned out to be a terrible estimate. As such, I won't try to make another estimate, but I am proud of the progress that has been made and will list that instead.

• Learned how to change the oil, fuel filter, and air filter
• Replaced the water pump to fix a coolant leak - the most wrenching I've done in my entire life
• Designed and assembled a solar panel mount
• Designed and ordered materials for the electrical power system
• Designed and ordered materials for the basic interior structures like the bed and counter space
